My word, what is happening here? I found an intelligent post on NewsVine! After reading 200,000 comments of utter nonsense I find one that sounds like a starting point.
However, I think we need to do more in the area of "broadening our thinking", more intelligent postings in the Dr. G's style for sure because they articulate what are already widely held beliefs. By "broadening" I mean just arranging the old pieces of information on the table is more of the same, to move on to higher level I believe that we need to look at our basic resources, "time", "human capital", and "motivational capital". Human capital such as 20 Mega unemployed which should provide an intelligence base needed to broaden our approach, and what few consumer dollars we have on hand to invest. Would it be wise to create new businesses as priority over employment in existing "jobs"? Would it be better to "invest" consumer dollars closer to home rather than for products of vast global corporations? I guess we would slowly become better off if we spent some consumer money on your home and neighborhood and to even guide investments into new areas not dominated by big businesses.
I believe we share common ground on these issues and agree that the best solution would be to direct our efforts directly toward individuals, neighborhoods, and local businesses. It appears however, that is clearly not the intent nor the direction our government is willing to travel. The only solution for people that concur with our views is to overwhelm them ( the politically elite, corporate controlled robber barons) with sheer numbers at the polls. This has proved to be a daunting task in the past but with the current winds of discontent I see our odds of success improving rapidly.
Thanks for the comments.. I look forward to more.
